 Good Afternoon All,

Welcome to another phase in our onboarding to an exciting year in the Forest. I am excited about the possibilities that we have to expand and explore the way we serve our families, here, on a daily basis. Yes, there are many unknowns, requirements that we did not ask for or even expect, problems to solve, and questions to answer that may not have answers at the time of the questions, together we will have fun, stay safe, and deliver the best education for those we love--our students. 

Carla, Laura, and I will help whenever possible so ask. Communication is always important, but this year even more important. Let us know if you have ideas, thoughts, and or questions!

• The traditional general education teachers at HC will be sending an "official" Welcome to School letter or card to each student on Tuesday, August 11. If you would like to do the same, please let me know and I'll pick up your letters on Tuesday. Laura and Carla have labels, postage, and a serving attitude to help. If you feel you have been in communication with your families already, no need for the letter. 

• Second, Thursday, August 13, please send out an invite via sign up genius for a school visit on August 20 (or an alternative date if you've selected one). We can host four families together at one time for 15 minutes slots.

• Third, August 18, please create and send out a Welcome/Parent Night video. This was explained, in a newsletter to the parents, as follows:  Teachers are working to create an official welcome video providing you with helpful information for the school year from their classroom perspective. If you have designed other plans for your Parent Night, that is fantastic as well. We can talk this over as a team. We just want to ensure our parents are well communicated with and prepared for the year.

• Lastly, I would like to invite (optional) you to a staff zoom this coming Monday, August 10, at 11:30.
